About Us

The Lancaster, Harrisburg, and York Harm Reduction Project provides information and services to help individuals reduce some of the harms related to injection drug use, such as HIV, Hepatitis C, abscesses, and overdose.

We provide clean injection equipment, safe smoke kits, information and services to help improve the lives of people who use drugs.

We also help individuals who are trying to reduce or eliminate their drug use find appropriate treatment

Lancaster Harm Reduction Project, Inc. is a 501(c) 3 Private Foundation.

Our Mission

To provide non-judgmental services including syringe exchange, basic healthcare, education and counseling to the most vulnerable and hard-to-reach populations of Lancaster, York, and Dauphin Counties -- the homeless, the uninsured, the injection drug users and sex workers.

To offer safety measures for those who are at high risk of contracting or transmitting HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis, and other blood-borne diseases.

Also, to protect the public from the spread of disease.

Through referrals to other community health clinics, drug and alcohol providers, social service agencies, and community-based organizations we aim to help those seeking assistance return to their homes and workplaces.
